Located on the Exhibition Place grounds, the OVO Athletic Centre is Toronto Raptors’ official training and development centre as well as home to the team’s front office. Included in the 68,000sq ft space are state-of-the-art amenities catered to the NBA athlete and acts as a technologically advanced cognitive operations centre. The facility will also be used for basketball development camps and other community groups throughout the year.
The 42,000sq ft space is an incubator for collaboration and hosts best-in-class sports programming developed by a team of coaches and expert partners that support the four pillars: Healthy Body, Healthy Mind, Ready For School and Ready For Work. MLSE LaunchPad is a place where youth use sport to recognize and reach their potential. Sport is a very powerful tool, and by combining sport and youth development programming with a commitment to measurement and evaluation, anything is possible.
BMO Training Ground is modelled after traditional European football academies. The facility includes four natural and artificial fields, along with many more amenities catering to the needs of the Senior and Academy squads. The facility officially opened its doors in June 2012. It is the exclusive home of the Toronto FC first team, Toronto FC II and Academy squads.
In keeping with MLSE’s rootedness in the community, the Ford Performance Centre serves as the Leafs’ and Marlies’ practice and training facility. Women and children’s hockey organizations and sports clubs also use the three NHL and one Olympic-sized rink. The facility even houses the archives of the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Since 2004, though, it has been known as the Toronto Marlies’ home ice, and a tough stop on any other AHL team’s schedule. Through the year, Coca-Cola Coliseum sees its share of horse shows and concerts and trade conventions and a whole host of other visitors. Coca-Cola Coliseum is an exciting, up-close venue that puts fans right in the action with players.
MLSE Foundation believes all kids should have access to sport and the opportunity to develop lasting dreams on the playing field.
