This bold and rich Tempranillo red blend (including 10% each of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes), from northern Spain, is made for BBQ season. It has ripe blackberry and plum fruit flavors with delicious hints of vanilla, leather and coffee. Smooth and vibrant on the palate; it can handle some spice. Red meats of any kind will pair beautifully with this wine. Decanting recommended.

A light, crisp and zesty Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand which is perfectly suited to this warmer weather because of its citrus and tropical fruit flavors. Drink it on the dock or at a park picnic (while social distancing, of course). It will pair nicely with a goat’s cheese salad, fish burritos, vegetarian fare or a hot summer day.

Since 1962, Bin 128, from the legendary Aussie producer Penfold’s, has been made from fruit sourced from Coonawarra’s unique terra rossa soils. As a result, Bin 128 shows off the perfume, transparency and seductive nature of cool climate red table wines. The 2017 vintage offers an aromatic veil of black-truffled earthiness meshed with porcini mushroom over a dark chocolate base. Beneath, spiced French oak is evident. A transient lift of violet florals is quickly superseded by the assertive ascent of a ‘just-roasted beef outer-crustiness’. While a quilt of berried shiraz fruits and lingering tannins provide a structural palate platform which is supported by French oak. This well-structured and beautifully made Shiraz will delight any red wine lover. Pair it with lamb, steak or enjoy it after dinner. it will benefit greatly from decanting.

Oregon is famous for it’s elegant Chardonnays and this wine, from one of Oregon’s oldest and most reputable wineries, is a perfect example of that. It’s a beautifully balanced white with aromas of lemon curd, Asian pear, orange zest and white flowers on the nose. On the palate there are flavours of citrus and pear are paired with a stony minerality. Lovely firm structure and a rich texture make this white a wonderful food wine. Enjoy with seafood, chicken, pasta with cream sauce and soft cheeses. Classy and memorable!
