TORONTO, ON, October 7, 2019 – Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, Ltd. (MLSE) announced today, that after undergoing a total renovation this summer, Real Sports Bar & Grill has now become RS. The newly renovated restaurant reopens just in time for guests during the Toronto Maple Leafs home opener. The restaurant’s transformation is part of a series of significant upgrades to Scotiabank Arena and MLSE facilities in the surrounding area to enhance the building and elevate the fan experience.

Originally opened in July 2010, the restaurant’s renovations resulted in a complete makeover that brings a fresh and contemporary look and design to the iconic bar and restaurant to its diverse and broad range of guests. The RS renovation is part of a larger makeover to the digital experience in Maple Leaf Square. In addition to the new restaurant, the existing digital screen in Maple Leaf Square was replaced with a larger and brighter screen for fans to enjoy when outside the arena.

Redesigned by the Toronto-based award winning DesignAgency, RS now features two distinct areas, Arena, dedicated to sports through an enhanced 39-foot screen and Resto, a warm and inviting space that includes unique dining configurations and premium event spaces that can be booked for private functions. Additionally, the new design will offer greater connection and views to the mall and Maple Leaf Square and continue to solidify the establishment as a world-class bar and restaurant.
