As Toronto prepares to welcome back its 2016 MLS Eastern Conference Champions, Toronto FC announced the long term kit renewal of BMO and unveiled the new primary kit at the President’s Breakfast on Friday morning.  The event, attended by over 500 supporters was hosted by TSN personality Luke Wileman and Toronto FC alumnus Steven Caldwell and included an address by Toronto FC President, Bill Manning, Toronto FC General Manager Tim Bezbatchenko and BMO’s Chief Marketing Officer Connie Stefankiewicz.

As part of his address, Manning announced the renewal of long-standing partner, BMO.   BMO, the club’s first-ever partner has been a valued supporter of Toronto FC since its inaugural season in 2007.  Starting as the team’s first kit partner, the partnership now includes sponsorship of the First Team kit, training kit and all practice and travel attire.  The partnership continues BMO’s investment and commitment to the growth of soccer in Canada through sponsorship of TFC2, TFC3 and all TFC Academy teams.

“We are thrilled to have BMO return as our kit partner to complement their BMO Field and current club partnership,” said Bill Manning, President, Toronto FC.  “They have been an integral component of Toronto FC’s history and growth and we look forward to having them deepen their continued involvement in the club’s future through sponsorship of our development program.”

“BMO has been a proud partner of Toronto FC since the very beginning,” said Connie Stefankiewicz, Chief Marketing Officer, BMO Financial Group. “We are very excited to build on the momentum from last season, and to continue our commitment to TFC at all levels.”

Fans in attendance also had the first in-person look of the club’s new primary jersey featuring red mélange fabric combined with dark grey sleeves consistent with previous jerseys. The new kit has been updated with a more casual look that can be worn everyday by fans, allowing them to show their club pride in and around the city. As an homage to Toronto being a multi-cultural hub with an “all for one” mentality, the jersey showcases the team slogan on the back neck and as a reflection of national pride, a metallic silver Canadian flag is featured on the jock tag. The kit also features the best of Adidas technology with an engineered Adizero back panel for player comfort and temperature regulation.
